Micron Technology is seeking a Construction Supplier Relationship Manager to drive the construction category and supplier relationships for all global construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for driving the construction category and supplier relationships for all global construction projects.
  • Engage externally with architects, design firms, construction management, and general contracting companies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned construction suppliers.
  • Manage supplier relationships globally and perform commercial supplier qualification activities to ensure strategic supplier development.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with suppliers while resolving performance and capability issues to align with Micron’s strategic direction.
  • Ensure suppliers follow Micron’s business ethics, code-of-conduct programs, corporate safety policies, and social responsibility initiatives.
  • Communicate key supplier-management updates and decisions to multiple levels in the organization, including executive leadership, and enlist senior management to reinforce supplier commitment.
  • Lead or participate in negotiations for construction contracts, incorporating savings targets and contract requirements.
  • Lead sourcing events and the RFQ process.
  • Develop contract strategy for each project, including creating, negotiating, supervising, and implementing contracted terms and conditions.
  • Align with global facilities collaborators and site teams to build a comprehensive view of supplier performance.
  • Administer contracts to ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled by both owner and contractor.
  • Own and lead overall strategic supplier relationships for the construction category.
  • Collaborate internally to develop key performance measures for strategic suppliers and supervise supplier performance against these expectations.
  • Lead prioritization and delivery of strategic supplier events such as quarterly business reviews, annual supplier evaluations, and executive review meetings.
  • Participate in supplier segmentation and strategic goal setting.
  • Provide market intelligence and price trends to internal partners on a regular schedule.
  • Apply should-cost models for assigned categories that are benchmarked against the global marketplace.
  • Serve as the subject-matter authority for the construction procurement category and share knowledge with key partners and indirect teams.
  • Position requires 25% international and domestic travel.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Construction Management, or a related field plus 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience, or a Master’s degree plus 3 years of experience in the same area.
  • Extensive experience in construction, construction management, or contracting (including AIA, FIDIC, and bespoke construction contracts).
  • Proven track record of leading multiple large-scale projects.
  • Expertise in construction contract negotiation, execution, and administration.
  • Experience with construction procurement tendering processes, including supplier sourcing, qualification, and selection.
  • Proficiency in P6 software, reports, and scheduling tools.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of change-order management, contract terms and conditions, and category management.
  • Experience with construction software tools such as Pro Core, Blue Beam, Adobe Construction Cloud, or other platforms.
  • Knowledge of the SAP suite of software related to supply chain, finance, and procurement disciplines.
