Hoffman Construction is seeking a Project Scheduling Manager. This individual will be an integral member of the on‑site Scheduling Department, providing essential support throughout the lifecycle of a hyper‑scaled data center construction project. Reporting to the Scheduling Department Scheduling Manager, the role will work closely with site leadership and cross‑functional teams to manage day‑to‑day site activities and analyze project progress. The Scheduling Manager plays a critical leadership role, preparing presentations, bi‑weekly progress narratives, and schedules to communicate across multiple scopes in a complex semiconductor environment.
The position requires experience in managing and anticipating challenges and proactively resolving coordination issues in the field. The role will be fully on the project site near Boise, .
Salary Range: $110,000 - $150,000 + Incentives
Responsibilities- Lead the project team through the schedule development process from project initiation to closeout.
- Facilitate schedule meetings, including superintendent planning, weekly work planning, and team schedule reviews.
- Build schedule detail based on construction drawings and models with input from the project team.
- Collect and input status updates.
- Observe the jobsite to verify field progress.
- Identify changes to the project schedule and notify the project team of impacts to critical path activities.
- Ensure technical schedule integrity is maintained.
- Produce and distribute weekly schedules, forecasts, and reports.
- Analyze schedule variances, apportion delays, and support closure of time disputes.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentoring to the project team on scheduling and schedule updates.
- Conduct bi‑weekly meetings with scheduling team members to discuss scheduling needs, requests for time off, and career development opportunities.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent, and/or equivalent related work experience in data management.
- Educational background in materials and methods of construction.
- A minimum of five (5) years of construction project scheduling experience.
- Extensive experience of large industrial and hi‑tech fabrication projects preferred.
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) and a general understanding of working within a computer network.
- Experience with project management software such as Prolog, Procore, E‑Builder, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Primavera Project Planner (P6).
- Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
- Training in design and construction document reading, design specifications, survey theory and techniques.
- Experience organizing technical data accurately; familiar with CSI specification system for construction.
- Demonstrate thorough understanding of all aspects of construction.
- Highly developed visual observation and interpretation skills.
- Ability to work well and maintain a cooperative attitude through high‑pressure situations.
- Excellent time‑management skills and ability to multi‑task and prioritize work while frequently interrupted by phone calls and questions on work in progress.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships.
- Ability to work closely with a variety of trade and craft people in a field work situation; patience and professionalism are essential.
- Must be a strong team player with the ability to collaborate with various personnel within and across departments and at all levels of leadership.
- Work schedule must be flexible to allow extended hours or off‑shift work to accommodate changing construction schedule and sequences.
- Standing/Walking/Sitting: workday is a combination of standing, walking and sitting.
- Must be able to climb stairs: 5% of the day.
