Job Description

We seek a dedicated and detail‑oriented Project Engineer to join our Off‑Site Manufacturing (OSM) Team. In this role you will oversee the planning, design, and execution of modularized components within the construction project, collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure all off‑site manufacturing processes align with project specifications, budget, and timelines. This role is part of the Construction Management Department, reports to the OSM Project Manager, and is on the front line to avoid and solve technical problems while driving OSM innovations.

You will also help lead OSM quality control efforts on the project site, reviewing documents during preconstruction, construction, commissioning, and closeout.

Location:

Boise, Idaho – full onsite work.

Salary: $80,000 - $130,000 DOE + Incentives.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Assist in the daily planning and coordination of OSM manufacturing activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines and deliverables.
  • Interface between Area Construction Managers, multiple subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Verify all documentation is complete and that approved materials and equipment are installed correctly, completely, and safely.
  • Understand Building Information Modeling (BIM) to ensure interfaces between models and construction are coordinated and clash‑free.
  • Drive innovation within the design and construction planning through all project phases.
  • Manage OSM data performances and specific OSM data metrics.
  • Review and process project submittal information, ensuring full coordination, accuracy, and functionality of each component.
  • Receive, publish, and distribute requests for information (RFI) and change‑in‑scope documents to OSM members.
  • Assist in the buyout and procurement of OSM subcontractors and equipment; review OSM subcontracts and contract modifications.
  • Estimate and track project budgets and expenditures, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Support review of all project billings and billing schedules of values for OSM subcontractors and vendors as required.
Qualifications

Professional Skills and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Automation, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent.
  • Minimum five (5) years of Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing construction or prefabrication experience; structural experience highly preferred.
  • Specific experience in industrial and/or hi‑tech semiconductor manufacturing projects highly preferred.
  • LEED Accredited Professional, or ability to become accredited within eighteen (18) months, preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Education background in materials and methods of construction.

Position Related Skills

  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point and Teams) with general understanding of computer networks.
  • Experience with project management software such as Prolog, Procore, E‑Builder, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Primavera Project Planner (P6).
  • Willingness to learn design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
  • Training in design and construction document reading, design specifications, survey theory and techniques.
  • Experience organizing technical data accurately; familiar with CSI specification system for construction.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all construction aspects.
  • Highly developed visual observation and interpretation skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively under high‑pressure situations.
  • Excellent time‑management skills and ability to multi‑task and prioritize work.
  • Excellent written and oral communication with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work closely with a variety of trades and crafts; patience and professionalism essential.
  • Dedicated team player able to collaborate across departments and leadership levels.
  • Flexible work schedule to accommodate extended hours or off‑shift work.
