Safety Specialist
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Specialist to conduct routine and unscheduled job site inspections. The ideal candidate will identify safety, health, and environmental risks and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively. This role involves enforcing compliance with OSHA regulations, client requirements, and internal company policies.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine and unscheduled jobsite inspections to identify safety, health, and environmental risks and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Enforce compliance with OSHA regulations, client requirements, and internal company policies and procedures.
- Deliver safety training programs, including new hire orientation and ongoing safety education for craft personnel.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings, risks, and corrective recommendations.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate hazardous conditions to prevent incidents.
- Develop and implement Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) for new and high-risk work activities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for job site incidents, injuries, and near-misses.
- Lead incident response efforts, including securing the scene, documenting evidence, conducting interviews, and coordinating follow-up actions.
- Partner with field leadership to drive continuous improvement in safety performance and compliance.
Essential
Skills:
- 3+ years of safety experience in a construction environment.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards, regulations, and compliance.
- Ability to conduct training, investigations, and safety audits.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work onsite and interact with field teams in active construction environments.
Additional Skills &
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- CHST or CSP certification may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with OSHA 500 and safety program development.
Work Environment:
This position operates on a 60/60/50 work schedule with one day shift and one night shift. The role is based on-site at a confidential semiconductor client in Boise, Idaho. Candidates will receive overtime pay (1.5x) for hours worked over 40 each week. The environment offers a casual and respectful atmosphere with opportunities for mentorship and advancement. The company provides an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), vacation time, and 8 holidays added to the contract duration.

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
