Arcadis is seeking a Superintendent to join our team supporting tool installation on a large, complex semiconductor construction project in Boise, Idaho. This role is a field-based position focused on the daily execution of tool installation work and will support the Project Manager and Construction Manager by coordinating field activities, subcontractors, and tool vendors.

This is not a remote position and requires full-time onsite presence.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Project Manager and Construction Manager as the primary field representative for assigned tool installation scopes.
  • Supervise daily tool installation activities, including tool move-in, setting, hook‑up, testing, and turnover.
  • Coordinate field activities between subcontractors, specialty trades, and OEM tool vendors.
  • Monitor day‑to‑day progress against schedule utilizing schedule software and report field status, constraints, and issues.
  • Participate in daily coordination meetings, toolbox talks, and safety huddles.
  • Enforce all site safety requirements and client SOPs, including cleanroom protocols and high‑purity environment controls.
  • Ensure quality workmanship and compliance with project drawings, specifications, and client standards.
  • Assist with short‑interval planning, look‑ahead schedule and pull planning, and manpower coordination.
  • Identify field issues early and elevate to the Construction Manager or Project Manager as needed.
  • Maintain field documentation, including daily reports, installation checklists, and punch lists.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing activities, and support commissioning and close‑out.
  • Support coordination with Facilities Operations, Engineering, and other site stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Trade background (Mechanical or Electrical) or Diploma/Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial or high‑tech construction; semiconductor or microelectronics experience strongly preferred.
  • Hands‑on experience supporting tool installation activities in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing facilities.
  • Experience working in cleanroom or controlled environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with MEP systems used in high‑volume manufacturing facilities.
  • Basic understanding of construction schedules and sequencing.
  • Strong focus on safety, quality, and field execution.
  • Ability to follow direction, communicate clearly, and work effectively with field crews and supervision.
  • Proficient with basic construction software tools (Excel, Bluebeam, Procore or similar). Experience with schedule software, IE P6/Hoylu a plus.
  • Ability to work onsite full‑time in the Boise Metro area. Willingness to provide legal US work authorization documents. Will consider US domestic travelers and relocation.
