Arcadis is seeking a Construction Manager to join our team supporting tool installation on a large, complex semiconductor construction project in Boise, Idaho. This role is focused on coordinating on-site construction activities in a high-tech manufacturing environment, overseeing tool installation from start to project close-out.
The Tool Install Construction Manager works closely with the Project Manager and Superintendents to plan, organize, and coordinate on-site construction work. This includes supervising field staff, coordinating subcontractors and tool vendors, ensuring safety compliance, supporting schedule execution, and maintaining accurate construction documentation. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing environments and thrives in a fast‑paced, schedule‑driven field setting.
This is a full‑time onsite position.
- Coordinate and support on-site tool installation construction activities in a semiconductor/high‑tech environment.
- Supervise and assist Superintendents, field staff, subcontractors, and tool vendors to ensure work is executed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.
- Assist with short‑interval scheduling, sequencing, and day‑to‑day construction planning.
- Monitor field progress, manpower, and productivity; provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
- Support subcontractor coordination, including clarifying scope, sequencing work, and ensuring quality compliance.
- Ensure construction activities comply with client SOPs, safety programs, cleanroom protocols, and project specifications.
- Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily reports, RFIs, punch lists, and installation checklists.
- Participate in daily coordination meetings, pull planning sessions, and field inspections.
- Support commissioning, start‑up, and turnover of tool installation work.
- Identify field issues early and escape to the Project Manager or PM as needed.
- Assist in continuous improvement and lessons learned initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent hands‑on construction experience will be considered.
- 4–8 years of construction experience in industrial, high‑tech, or semiconductor environments; tool installation experience strongly preferred.
- Hands‑on experience coordinating field crews, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Familiarity with cleanroom construction, industrial process utilities, and MEP systems used in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing facilities.
- Working knowledge of construction scheduling, sequencing, and site coordination.
- Proficient with construction management and documentation software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Excel, or similar).
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple field priorities simultaneously.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; comfortable coordinating with Superintendents, field crews, and subcontractors.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, schedule‑driven field environment.
- Ability to provide legal US work authorization documents required. Will consider US domestic travelers and relocation.
