At JH Kelly, we're seeking driven, detail-oriented Project Managers to lead meaningful construction projects throughout the Treasure Valley market, supporting cutting-edge semiconductor, data center, commercial, and industrial developments. We are currently hiring for two distinct Project Manager opportunities: one Structural Project Manager and one Mechanical Project Manager.

In these roles, you'll be at the center of the action, owning project outcomes from start to finish by driving schedules, managing budgets, coordinating project teams, and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Whether your background is in structural steel, miscellaneous metals, mechanical systems, piping, or industrial construction, you'll have the opportunity to lead complex projects from preconstruction through turnover while working alongside some of the industry's most talented professionals.

Salary Range: $95,000 - $130,000 annually (DOE), FLSA exempt.

Here’s a deeper dive into what you’ll take on:

Project Planning & Controls

• Run the full project life cycle, including preconstruction, planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, fabrication, field installation, startup, and closeout.
• Plan and manage project schedules while identifying and mitigating variances.
• Develop and manage project estimates and budget setup.
• Manage project costs, forecasts, and projections through completion.
• Plan and manage project control systems and reporting.
• Coordinate work to support permitting and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments and proactively manage resources to meet project objectives.
• Write and manage RFIs and change orders.
• Take off quantities and prepare pricing for changes when directed.
• Perform estimating and procurement activities.
• Maintain project financial performance and profitability.

Technical Review & Support

• Thoroughly review all drawings, submittals, samples, and shop drawings to ensure installation and final product meet contract requirements.
• Provide field engineering and technical support as required.
• Support QA/QC efforts and constructability reviews.
• Assist with planning for critical lifts, rigging activities, and complex installations when applicable.

Leadership & Communication

• Direct activities of project staff personnel.
• Lead, mentor, and manage interns, field engineers, project engineers, and other team members.
• Maintain proactive and positive relationships with craft personnel, supervision, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments (Safety, CAD/BIM, Accounting, IT).
• Represent JH Kelly at client and project meetings.
• Keep management informed of project status, scheduling, and financial performance.

Safety & Quality

• Ensure, follow, and promote company safety and quality protocols.
• Review construction procedures and provide technical support for work.
• Ensure construction work in-house and by subcontractors complies with contract requirements.

Closeout

• Oversee punch lists, documentation, and final handoff.
• Ensure systems are delivered clean, compliant, and ready for operation.
