Construction Manager
Required Skills & Experience 10+ years of mechanical construction experience on mega and/or high-tech construction projects Ability to work with construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6 and others. Experience with receiving bids from subcontractors, equipment buyout and other pre-construction activities. Strong communication skills - ability to coordinate and rally teams of customers, internal and external stakeholders and regulatory partners.
Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks Nice to Have Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, construction management or other relevant field of study.
Job Description An Insight Global customer in the construction industry is seeking to hire a construction manager to oversee the dry mechanical systems for a mega project in Boise, project is multiple billions of dollars in total budget, is supporting a high-tech manufacturing client, and is expected to last into 2028. As a construction manager in this role, you'll be expected to complete all pre-construction tasks including equipment buyout and scrubbing drawings to align proper subcontractors and trades partners, take full ownership of your project scope including proper documentation, alignment across all teams and partners, facilitate training, run startup meetings with 100s of teammates, review project submittal information and receive and distribute RFIs.
The specific scope of work for this role will be dry mechanical systems such as HVAC, compressed air, gas lines, vacuum systems, etc. The initial contract will last 12 months, but extensions are likely. We can offer pay at $75/hr for this role as well as a generous per diem package for candidates who qualify. Exact compensation may differ due to education or experience.
Candidates can expect to work 50hours per week. Generally it is expected that employees in this role arrive to the job site early around 6 AM, but there may be some flexibility required.
