Mechanical Drafter / Designer

Precision Pumping Systems (PPS) has been a family‑owned manufacturing leader since 1972. As demand for our packaged pumping systems continues to grow, we’re expanding our design team and seeking a Mechanical Drafter/Designer to help bring our custom pump stations to life.

This is a hands‑on role for a detail‑oriented professional who can take project requirements and turn them into accurate, manufacturable, and cost‑effective designs.

Essential Job Functions
  • Create and maintain 3D models, assemblies, and detailed fabrication drawings in Solid Works
  • Design custom pump station layouts, including piping, structural components, valves, and mechanical equipment
  • Generate bills of materials (BOMs), cut lists, and manufacturing documentation for production
  • Coordinate with electrical engineering, project management, and manufacturing to ensure designs meet project requirements and installation constraints
  • Review designs for manufacturability, cost‑effectiveness, and compliance with company standards
  • Support design reviews, revisions, and updates throughout the project lifecycle
  • Maintain organized drawing packages and revision control within the company’s document management system
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of Solid Works experience
  • Experience with PDM and AutoCAD
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi‑task and manage workload independently
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high‑quality, manufacturable designs
