Landscape Architect

We are looking for a talented and motivated Landscape Architect I to join our Boise office.

This position is ideal for a landscape architect who wants to work under the supervision of an experienced landscape architect on a variety of projects, with a strong growth opportunity to be the future leader of the team. The candidate will contribute to design development, site analysis, and construction documentation. The candidate will be involved with project acquisition, client coordination and be involved with the project through construction and closeout.

• Assist with generating proposals, including writing scope and establishing the fee.
• Collaborate with clients on site analysis and initial conceptual site plan layouts, including the design of hardscape and landscape features.
• Research zoning codes, land use regulations, and jurisdictional requirements to support project feasibility and permitting.
• Prepare conceptual designs, renderings, and presentation materials for landscape architecture projects, including parks, streetscapes, multifamily developments, and commercial sites.
• Select materials, plants, and sustainable design practices, and update the Client on the design as it progresses.
• Support the entitlement process, including preparing submittals, coordinating with local agencies, and tracking approvals.
• Develop construction documents, including planting plans, irrigation plans, and associated project details.
• Coordinate with senior Landscape Architect, internal team members, and external consultants.
• Assist with project documentation, permitting, and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in site visits and assist with construction observation.
• Generate test fit site plans and flash plans for potential development projects. Included is investigating vehicle parking requirements, bicycle parking requirements, setbacks, and landscape requirements.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in landscape architecture from an accredited program.
• Licensed as a Landscape Architect.
• At least 4 years of traditional experience in a professional office environment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Civil 3D and Revit is a plus.
• Experience with 3D modeling and rendering tools (e.g., Lumion, Rhino).
• Strong graphic, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Fully knowledgeable of site design principles, grading, drainage, and planting design.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.

• Familiarity with sustainable design practices (e.g., low-impact development, native planting).
