- Nocturnist Role 5pm-7am, rotating schedule with 3 people on team covering 365 days per year.
- Restricted on‑site role, 1st call with ortho surgeons as 2nd call.

- Manage orthopedic trauma patients in collaboration with orthopedic trauma surgeons.
- Provide direct clinical management through approved protocols and procedures.
- Consult on medical issues with hospital personnel.
- Evaluate new trauma patients in the Emergency Room.
- Provide direction to hospital personnel regarding patient management issues.
- Manage inpatient orthopedic fracture patients.
- Work in the operating room.
- Demonstrate comprehensive assessment skills, expert clinical skills, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Commit to a multi‑disciplinary team approach to patient care.
- Successful completion of an NP or PA graduate program (master’s level).
- NCCPA‑certified PA (PA‑C).
- Current medical license in Idaho.
- Valid controlled‑substance registration with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy and the DEA.
- Preferred BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications.
- Past surgical and/or critical‑care experience in a hospital‑based setting.
Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a 650+ provider multispecialty group practice that seeks a certified advanced practice provider (PA‑C) to manage orthopedic trauma patients in collaboration with orthopedic trauma surgeon(s). The position includes direct clinical management through approved protocols and procedures as well as appropriate medical consultation. The APP will work closely with the Orthopedic Trauma Surgeons and other members of the trauma service to evaluate new trauma patients in the Emergency Room, to provide direction to hospital personnel regarding patient management issues, and to manage inpatient orthopedic fracture patients.
This individual will also work in the operating room.
Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC) is the principal provider of advanced, innovative and interdisciplinary trauma and critical care services. SARMC is an ACS verified Level II Trauma Center whose annual trauma volumes exceed 1,250 with over 400 patients with an ISS > 16. Trauma is predominantly blunt in nature.
