Become part of a physician-led 650+ provider multispecialty group with an interdisciplinary team approach to patient care. Saint Alphonsus is a principal provider of evidence-based, interdisciplinary behavioral health services within the region. Our outpatient "medically complex" practice provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for adults with complex medical conditions and mental health disorders.

Position: Working closely with the practice staff, this PRN/part-time employed psychiatrist will provide on-site or telemed consultation for diagnosis and therapeutic interventions for patients of the practice who have mental health problems. Position will provide medication management coverage for full-time psychiatrist during leave (FMLA, PTO/vacation, CME). The ideal candidate will possess the ability to assess and treat a diverse adult patient population with a wide variety of mental health disorders, the ability to work well with a collegial interdisciplinary team, and the desire to make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Support: The practice includes 3 physicians, 1 Nurse Practitioner, 2 psychologists, and 1 social worker. Subspecialty consultants, outpatient lab and inpatient resources are located on-campus. This practice is a part of a multi-specialty network of 70+ Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) Clinics.

Requirements:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree;
• Successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA psychiatry residency program
• Board certification through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry (AOBNP) - or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment
• Idaho medical licensure and medical staff privileges at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center; valid controlled substance registration with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy and the DEA
