POSITION SUMMARY:

The Campus Ministry Operations Coordinator is a lay ecclesial minister in support of the Diocese and the Center’s spiritual and pastoral mission. This position serves under the direction of the Campus Minister and assists with the planning and execution of campus ministry life. This position works closely with missionaries and student leaders to communicate the life of the Center with creativity, clarity and reverence.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Must have a working knowledge of and a strong commitment to the mission of the Diocese and Catholic Church; must be in full communion with the Church.
  • Does not espouse any doctrine inconsistent with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
  • Strong familiarity with the content of the Church’s catechetical documents, methodologies, ministry, and programs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially with college-aged students.
  • Ability to listen, empathize, and accompany young adults in their faith journey.
  • Excellent communications skills including written, verbal, public speaking, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to create, organize and execute digital content.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-starter with a warm, outgoing presence.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Maintains confidential information and has a high degree of personal integrity.
  • Respect and sensitivity to all cultural groups.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Other tasks, projects, duties assigned or delegated by the Campus Minister and/or Chaplain.
  • Ability to meet qualifications of diocesan safe environment policies and successfully pass a criminal background check.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ministry & Operations Support

  • Work closely with Campus Minister, Chaplain, missionaries and student leaders to ensure that the life of the Center is communicated clearly, reverently, and effectively, both online and in person.
  • Support campus ministry operations, events, and student leadership.
  • Manage the logistics, administration and resources of campus faith programs.
  • Communicate with students and volunteers and assist with coordination as needed.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of retreats, events, liturgies, and formation programs.
  • Identify student leaders and assist in forming them for service and leadership within the ministry.
  • Support and oversee student leadership teams (including liturgy or ministry committees).
  • Communicate schedules, reminders, and logistics with students and volunteers.
  • Prepare materials for meetings, formation nights, or retreats.
  • Track participation or engagement as needed.
  • Serve as a point of contact for students when appropriate.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support to the Campus Minister and/or Chaplain.

Media & Digital Communications

  • Manage and execute a consistent social media presence (primarily Instagram and Tik Tok) for the Center.
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar aligned with the liturgical year and ministry priorities.
  • Create photo, video, and graphic content for events, retreats, liturgies, and student life.
  • Monitor performance metrics and provide periodic insights or recommendations.
  • Ensure visual and tonal consistency across all platforms.
  • Assist with graphic design and promotional materials.
  • Provide website and digital asset support.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience

  • Experience in campus ministry or parish life preferred.
  • Catechetical certificate from Diocese of Boise preferred.
  • Passionate about evangelization and student discipleship.

Additional Qualifications

  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to utilize technology relative to the requirements of the position.
