A well-established medical school in Boise, Idaho is seeking a board-certified General Surgeon to join its faculty. This role is designed for surgeons who want to transition into academic medicine while maintaining limited clinical involvement. The position emphasizes teaching, mentorship, and curriculum development within a collaborative academic environment serving students across Idaho and the Mountain West.
Faculty will participate in classroom instruction, small-group facilitation, simulation training, clinical skills education, and student advising. The institution offers modern infrastructure and administrative support to ensure a sustainable academic workload.
Position Highlights:
• 4 days on-campus teaching + 1 day of low-volume clinical work
• 80% teaching lectures, small groups, simulation, clinical skills, and student advising
• Modern 94,000 sq. ft. academic campus with sim center, anatomy lab & OMM lab
• Competitive compensation ($250-300k) + full academic benefits
• $10k relocation, 240 hours PTO + 320 flex/sick time, $4k CME
