Job Description

We are seeking a Campus Dean, BSN Program to lead the supervision, development, planning, and evaluation of all nursing program activities at our site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plans, develops, manages, and evaluates all aspects of the program including:
    • RN program budget oversight
    • Faculty and staff management
    • Curriculum development and implementation
    • Clinical site liaison and partnership development
    • Program compliance with Board rules, regulations, and site visits
    • Student advocacy and support
    • Program policies, procedures, and faculty/student handbooks
    • Supplies and equipment management
  • Program Administration
    • Prepares reports, proposals, self-studies, and surveys for all state and Board requirements.
    • Maintains student and faculty records; works with HR to ensure documentation of qualifications.
    • Develops and implements program policies and procedures.
    • Oversees the admissions process and new student orientation.
    • Serves on and organizes program and advisory committees.
    • Writes articulation agreements with nearby colleges for accepted course equivalents.
    • Identifies and assists in obtaining outside resources for the nursing program.
    • Monitors NCLEX licensing outcomes, job placement rates, and student performance data.
  • Clinical Site Management
    • Develops and maintains educational partnerships and contracts with clinical sites.
    • Conducts clinical site evaluations assessing agency capacity, risk, safety, and alignment with course objectives.
    • Confirms student numbers, faculty assignments, rotation schedules, and clinical objectives with site representatives.
    • Completes and submits required BRN clinical approval forms prior to initiating rotations.
    • Ensures evaluations are completed at the close of each rotation and provides summary reports to the Dean and Chief Academic Officer.
    • Maintains minutes of inter-agency meetings.
  • Faculty & Student Support
    • Participates in faculty recruitment, hiring, and orientation.
    • Ensures regular nursing faculty meetings are held and minutes are maintained.
    • Participates in conflict resolution for faculty and students.
    • Manages student appeals and grievances per policy.
    • Advises students on academic progress, degree planning, and graduation requirements.
    • Ensures students are oriented to nursing skills labs and clinical facilities prior to rotations.
    • Assures all students meet documentation and eligibility requirements for graduation and licensure exams.
  • Community & Professional Engagement
    • Serves as liaison between the college and the broader community.
    • Markets and advocates for the nursing program.
    • Maintains membership in professional associations.
    • Collaborates with counseling, registration, financial aid, and other college departments on behalf of nursing students.
Qualifications
  • MSN and DNP completed
  • 2 years in a Similar Role managing BSN Nursing
  • Must hold a current RN license in the state where the campus is located (this is a plus-will eventually need to obtain)
  • A masters or higher degree from an accredited college or University that includes course work in nursing, education or administration
  • A minimum of two years of teaching experience in pre- or post-licensure nursing programs
  • At least two years of experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care and/or equivalent experience as determined by the Board
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Excellent skills in oral and written communications
