Role DescriptionThe Lead Preschool Teacher (Part‑Time) is responsible for guiding a preschool classroom and creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for young children. This on‑site role, located in Boise, , includes planning and facilitating daily lessons, integrating movement, music, and art into play‑based activities, and supporting kindergarten‑readiness skills. The teacher will observe and document student progress, communicate regularly with families, and collaborate with other staff to align with the school’s fine arts‑focused curriculum.
This is a part‑time position that requires consistent classroom leadership, adherence to school policies, and active participation in team meetings and school events.
- Strong foundation in Early Childhood Education, with knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and kindergarten-readiness standards.
- Proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum development, especially within play‑based and fine‑arts‑focused learning environments.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with children, families, and colleagues in a professional and respectful manner.
- Familiarity with kindergarten preparation, including early literacy, numeracy, social‑emotional skills, and classroom routines.
- Relevant education such as an associate or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience working in preschool or early childhood settings, preferably in arts-integrated or play-based programs.
- Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom and comply with local childcare and school regulations.
- Demonstrated patience, creativity, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to inclusive, non‑discriminatory teaching practices.
