The College of Business and Economics at Boise State University invites applications for a full‑time, non‑tenure track MBA Programs Assistant Teaching Professor (9‑month) faculty position beginning August 2026. This role carries salary and promotion opportunities, including advancement to associate and full professor ranks. The incumbent will teach a 3‑3 course load, conduct peer‑reviewed research to maintain AACSB accreditation, and engage in departmental and college service.
Additional summer teaching opportunities or competitive summer research funding possibilities are available.
- Teaching load is 2‑4 or 3‑3, depending upon specific program needs.
- Teaching load is primarily graduate‑level (MBA) courses.
- Coordinate the MBA program assessment process and deliverables, including AACSB Accreditation and university assurance of learning.
- Assist with the facilitation of the MBA program’s continuous improvement process.
- Work with MBA Program Directors to propose changes as needed to operations, marketing, and/or curriculum for MBA program improvements.
- Support MBA program quality improvement efforts (faculty professional and teaching development, workshops, committee participation, student recruitment, and marketing).
- Collaborate with local business community on behalf of COBE to source capstone consultancy projects and explore internship opportunities.
- Produce scholarly intellectual contributions in peer‑reviewed journals sufficient to remain scholarly active per AACSB and COBE policies.
- Engage with professional associations and industry partners that enhance scholarship, classroom practice, and community impact.
- Remain current and identify emerging trends in areas relevant to graduate business programs.

and Qualifications
- Experience teaching, mentoring, or coaching in a higher education or business environment.
- Experience in a professional management role.
- Earned doctorate (PhD, JD, or DBA) in management or a related discipline awarded on or before August 2026.
- Minimum of one year of teaching experience in Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs.
- At least eight years of professional experience in a senior‑level business leadership role.
- Demonstrated existing connections or capacity to develop strong professional relationships within the Treasure Valley business community.
- A record of scholarly productivity, including a minimum of two publications within the past six years and evidence of a sustained research program or pipeline.

Salary and BenefitsBase salary of $125,000 is competitive with AACSB median salaries for public research institutions. The standard faculty contract is a 9‑month contract with pay and benefits spread over 12 months. More information about faculty contract and work days is available upon request.
