Chemistry Teacher, Science Teacher
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Boise State University invites applications for a full‑time Laboratory Instructor Position. The successful candidate will play a vital role in advancing the department’s instructional mission by teaching a combination of general, organic, or analytical chemistry laboratories and spending five hours per week in the Chemistry Instructional Center (CIC), a drop‑in tutoring center that supports all service chemistry courses.
This position instructs four laboratory sections per semester and is required to attend presemester and weekly preparation meetings.
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry offers a Bachelor’s and Master of Science degrees in Chemistry. The department’s vision is to “Promote student success through excellence in chemistry.” We realize this vision by providing exceptional student research experiences and a curriculum that includes developing critical thinking skills, independent research projects, instrumentation training, exceptional laboratory practices, and mastery of scientific writing.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry
- Preferred: M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemistry or commensurate teaching experience
- College teaching experience in general, organic, and/or analytical chemistry
- College Chemistry GPA greater than 3.2 on a 4.0 scale

Salary and BenefitsSalary is $35,672.00.
Our standard faculty contract is a nine‑month contract (unless otherwise noted) with pay and benefits spread over 12 months. This is a yearly renewable contract, unless noted that the position is temporary. More information about faculty contract and work days is available here.
