Finance Lecturer: Hybrid Teaching & Professional Engagement

Position Overview

The Department of Finance at Boise State University invites applications for a full‑time Lecturer position beginning in Fall 2026. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate Finance courses in both face‑to‑face and asynchronous online formats, contribute to university and community service, and maintain active engagement with the professional Finance community.

The standard teaching load is four courses per semester. This position is based on campus, and the selected candidate must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Boise, Idaho area.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

• Master’s degree in finance or related discipline from an AACSB‑accredited university.
• At least five years of relevant experience as a finance/related professional.
• Demonstrated track record of successfully teaching face‑to‑face and/or asynchronous online finance courses at the university level.
• Willing and able to sustain involvement with the professional finance community.

• a curriculum vitae (i.e., resume) that includes employment history with dates of employment
• names and contact information of three professional references
• evidence of teaching performance such as a summary of teaching evaluations

Salary starts at $70,500 and is commensurate with experience.

Our standard faculty contract is a 9‑month contract (unless otherwise noted) with pay and benefits spread over 12 months. This is a yearly, renewable contract, unless noted that the position is temporary.
