Instructional Aide - Full-time or Part-time St. Mark's Catholic School 7503 W Northview St, Boise, , USA Primary Function
Under the direction of the Principal, the Instructional Aide supports the mission of the Diocese of Boise by assisting in the evangelization, catechesis, and education of students in a Catholic school environment.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport the unique Catholic mission of St. Mark's by speaking, acting, and assisting in a manner consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Assist classroom teachers with instruction, classroom organization, and preparation of instructional materials.
Provide individual and small-group support to students as directed by the teacher.
Supervise students in the classroom, during recess, lunch, and on field trips.
Assist with planning and supervising classroom activities and educational field trips.
Help supervise parent volunteers and ensure compliance with Safe Environment requirements.
Support student learning by reinforcing teacher instruction and encouraging positive academic and social growth.
Assist in maintaining classroom routines, organization, and a positive learning environment.
Support teachers in implementing classroom behavior expectations that promote responsibility, respect, and self-discipline.
Observe student progress and communicate relevant information to the classroom teacher.
Demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, confidentiality, and appropriate conduct at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.

Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, students, and families.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
Basic proficiency with computers and educational technology.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Flexible, dependable, and willing to adapt to the needs of the school.
Successful completion of a criminal background check and Diocese of Boise Safe Environment requirements.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Education and ExperienceA bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferred
At least one year of experience working with children in a school setting
Other/Preferred SkillsPrevious tutoring experience
Previous experience working with children
