New-to-District Classified employees may be eligible to receive credit for up to two years’ worth of credit for movement (steps) on the Classified Salary Schedule based on relevant prior work experience. Please complete the top portion of this form and provide it to your previous employer for completion. To qualify, newly hired employees must provide this form, completed by your former employer(s), to Human Resources no later than the date of their fingerprinting and appointment.
* Transferring employees or former District Employees hired into this role will be placed on the "D" letter grade of the Classified Salary Schedule, but the initial step placement will vary based on a variety of factors.
For positions that qualify, the District offers a benefit package that is valued at more than $10,000 annually. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERSI) and are provided to Classified employees who work at least half time (20 hours per week) or more in a regular position and to Certified employees with a .50 FTE or greater contract.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS- Provide assistance to teachers and students in the Title I program;
- Preparing, modifying, and adapting materials and presentations used in the classroom;
- Assist students with homework assignments, tutoring, supplemental instruction, special projects and in preparing for quizzes or exams;
- Assist students and teachers with classroom activities, tests, classroom management, clerical and record-keeping duties related to Title I students;
- Assist in maintaining Title I working files on students;
- Monitors student progress and provides input on student performance;
Prepare state and other reports as needed; - Perform all work duties and activities in accordance with District policies, procedures and safety practices.
- Graduation from high school or GED equivalent required; 48 college credit hours, OR Associates degree or higher (transcripts or copy of degree will be required upon hire), OR successful completion of the ETS Paraprofessional Praxis Exam (this exam may be taken after offer of employment has been extended, however, must be successfully completed prior to beginning employment).
Positions may or may not be filled, depending upon district need.
