The Idaho Division of Career Technical Education (IDCTE) provides administration, leadership, and coordination for secondary and post-secondary programs in career technical education (CTE) across the state of Idaho. With a customer-service focus, the Division leads Idaho’s efforts to prepare youth and adults for high-skill, in-demand careers.

Summary:

Idaho Career Technical Education (IDCTE) is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative professional to serve as an Educator Preparation Coordinator. This position supports statewide educator preparation and professional development efforts for secondary and postsecondary career and technical education (CTE) by coordinating program implementation, managing day‑to‑day operations, and providing technical assistance to educators, preparation providers, internal and external partners, and agency partners.

The Educator Preparation Coordinator works under the direction of the Educator Preparation Assistant Director and plays a key role in ensuring the effective delivery of educator onboarding, training, mentoring, and preparation initiatives. The position serves as a point of coordination between IDCTE staff, educator preparation providers, mentors, and other stakeholders to support high‑quality educator preparation systems aligned with Idaho requirements and workforce needs.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, responsive, and capable of managing multiple priorities while working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners. Some instate travel may be required. This is a full‑time, in‑office position, Monday through Friday. Remote work is not available.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate day‑to‑day implementation of educator preparation programs and initiatives under the direction of the Educator Preparation Assistant Director.
  • Support onboarding and preparation activities for new secondary and postsecondary CTE educators.
  • Assist with instructional delivery activities for educator preparation coursework and training, including facilitating or co facilitating training, supporting instructional logistics, and coordinating learning activities.
  • Assist with grading, assessment tracking, and documentation of participant progress, consistent with program requirements and guidance from instructional leads.
  • Assist with scheduling, logistics, and coordination of educator preparation onboarding, training, development activities, and related supports.
  • Serve as a point of contact for educators, mentors, and preparation providers regarding program participation, requirements, and timelines.

Support for Educator Preparation Providers and Mentors

  • Assist with coordination and communication with Idaho-approved CTE educator preparation providers.
  • Support data collection, documentation, and materials needed for educator preparation program monitoring, approval, review, or renewal processes.
  • Coordinate mentor assignments, mentor training logistics, and documentation in collaboration with the Assistant Director.
  • Maintain accurate records related to educator participation, mentoring activities, and program completion.

Professional Development and Resource Support

  • Assist with the delivery, teaching, and facilitation of professional development and instructional training for educators, mentors, and faculty, including leading or co facilitating training as assigned.
  • Assist with the development, maintenance, and dissemination of educator preparation resources, instructional materials, and guidance documents.
