Math Tutor

Maya's Tutoring is expanding in need of talented, passionate tutors! Our company provides in person tutoring with a personalized, tailored approach for each student. Our goal at Maya’s Tutoring is to help students succeed in school and be more than a just a tutor. We can be like a mentor to our students; teach them valuable lessons that builds confidence and carries forward for the rest of their life.

• Education or subject-related degrees.
• Passion for tutoring/teaching.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students.
• Tutors located in (or willing to drive to) Boise, Meridian, and Eagle.

• Be part of a team of tutors passionate about teaching and student growth.
• Choose your own schedule.
• Choose your own location to tutor such as a coffee shop or library.

• Elementary/Middle School Math
• High School/College Math
• Elementary/Middle Reading and Writing
• High School/College English
• Science
• History

Tutors usually are split between tutoring students in elementary/middle or high school/college for their preferred subject since the approach to teaching is different for those ages. However, some tutors help with more than one age group and subject.

• Minimum 1 year of experience of tutoring and/or teaching.
• Adept in topics of your specialty.
• Commitment to student success.
• Ability to drive in and around Boise, Meridian, and/or Eagle.

• Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions in various subjects of your choice.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians as necessary.
• Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Utilize learning technology and resources to enhance the tutoring experience.
• Build a positive learning environment through effective communication and building relationships.
• Engage with students of all ages, including children and adults, to promote a love for learning.
