The Title IV-A Coordinator provides statewide leadership, administration, and technical assistance for the Title IV, Part A – Student Support and Academic Enrichment (SSAE) Grant Program. This position supports effective and compliant implementation of Title IV-A by providing guidance and technical assistance to local educational agencies (LEAs), reviewing program applications and expenditures, monitoring program implementation, and developing statewide resources and professional learning opportunities.

The Title IV-A Coordinator supports the Community Schools model and the Family & Community Engagement Conference. The Foster Care Liaison acts as the intermediary between the Idaho Department of Education, Idaho Health and Welfare, and the local educational agencies to provide support in managing foster care student supports.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Administer the statewide Title IV, Part A – Student Support and Academic Enrichment (SSAE) Grant Program in accordance with federal statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Administer the statewide Ed-Flex application and monitoring for the federally approved Title IV-A flexibilities
  • Review LEA applications, budgets, amendments, and expenditures for programmatic and fiscal compliance with Title IV-A requirements
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to LEAs regarding allowable uses of funds, program implementation, budgeting, and federal grant requirements
  • Develop and maintain state guidance, procedures, FAQs, tools, and resources to support effective Title IV-A implementation
  • Develop and deliver professional development, webinars, workshops, and other training opportunities for LEA staff
  • Coordinate statewide Title IV-A initiatives supporting Well-Rounded Education, Safe and Healthy Students, and Effective Use of Technology
  • Conduct program monitoring and provide technical assistance or corrective action support to address identified compliance concerns
  • Collaborate with state agencies, education partners, community organizations, and other ESEA programs to coordinate resources and strengthen student support
  • Analyze program, fiscal, and implementation data to identify statewide trends, evaluate program effectiveness, and determine technical assistance needs
  • Assists to systemically build capacity at the district and school level(s) for effective engagement of families and communities in improvement decisions that are made within the school and district system
  • Co-plan and co-facilitate the Idaho Family & Community Engagement Conference
  • Serves as the IDE Liaison to The Idaho Coalition of Community Schools and provide partnerships with community organizations to provide professional networking and mentoring statewide for Idaho’s community schools
  • STEP Grant SEA Liaison – support in tribal education agency (TEA) and state educational agency (SEA) collaboration to support Indian Education initiatives through STEP grant activities
