Full-Time, Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM-6:00 PM
The Learning Experience
- Meridian is seeking a caring and dependable Toddler Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to build or continue a career in childcare. You'll work alongside experienced teachers to create a nurturing, engaging classroom where toddlers can explore, build independence, and develop important early skills.
Key Responsibilities- Support Lead Teachers with daily Toddler classroom routines and learning activities
- Engage children through play, art, music, movement, sensory activities, and hands-on learning
- Support language development, independence, and positive social interactions
- Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions
- Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance
- Help prepare classroom activities and learning materials
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
- Build positive relationships with children and families
- Collaborate with teachers and center leadership
- Follow Idaho childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous daycare, preschool, childcare, or experience working with children preferred
- Toddler classroom experience is a plus
- CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus
- Patient, dependable, energetic, and team-oriented
- Ability to meet Idaho childcare licensing requirements
- Competitive pay of $16-$18 per hour, based on experience and credentials
- Consistent Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM schedule
