About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated Embedded Systems Engineer to join our team on-site inBoise,. This is a unique opportunity forearly-career engineers to contribute to meaningful, real-world work in support of mission-critical military systems.
This role involves analyzing and extending existingC, C++, and Bashcodebases to support embedded system functionality. Engineers will have the opportunity to design, develop, and test software for system health monitoring, performance evaluation, secure boot, binary validation, firmware updates, and hardware integration.
Additional opportunities include developingAutomated Test Programs (ATP)for official software/hardware releases, supporting test system assembly, and using tools likeMicrosoft Office, Libre Office, LaTeX, and spreadsheets to document and validate work. Required:
- Foundational understanding of C programming, with the ability to read, interpret, and develop code
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems, or a strong interest in learning Linux-based development
- Strong desire to learn, grow and solve real-world technical challenges
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a security clearance
Bonus Points:
- Experience with Bash scripting, C++, Python
- FPGA Development Exposure
- Bare-Metal or embedded Linux Development
- Uses a Linux as a personal OS
- Knowledge of secure boot, binary signature verification
- Familiarity with QEMU, Netlink, and network debugging tools in Linux
- Interest in hands-on mechanical/electronic projects
