Travel: This role will go onsite to clients in Boise and also travel up to 40% to customers across the U.S.

We’re looking for an Application Engineer who thrives on solving complex challenges, mentoring others, and driving technical excellence in power systems and protection schemes.

What You’ll Do
  • Work on Complex Projects: Design, configure, test, and execute advanced PCA solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Sales, Project Managers, and cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Be a Safety Champion: Promote Schneider Electric’s Safety‑First culture in every aspect of your work.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems.
  • 2+ years of experience in Protection, Control, and Automation projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of:
    • Power systems and protection schemes.
    • Protection relays and relay‑based ATO schemes.
    • Testing protocols for feeder, transformer, bus differential, arc flash, and motor protection.
  • Proficiency in communication protocols:
    Modbus, DNP, IEC
    61850

    .
  • Experience executing complex relay‑based ATO schemes over IEC
    61850.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% domestically.
  • Familiarity with Schneider Electric’s Medium and Low Voltage systems is a plus.
