About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Designer to join our team on a high-profile, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility project in Boise, is an exciting opportunity to work on impactful industrial and advanced technology projects that form the backbone of our clients’ operations. You’ll be a key contributor to electrical systems design and coordination, supporting critical infrastructure in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform detailed 2D/3D design of electrical systems—including Life Safety and Security Systems
—using AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks. - Develop electrical design packages including conduit routing, cable tray layouts, panel schedules, equipment placement, and one-line diagrams
. - Conduct regular site visits to assess field conditions, perform punch list walks, and ensure alignment with the Basis of Design (BOD) and project specifications.
- Coordinate with engineers, project coordinators, construction trades, and other disciplines to produce clash‑free and integrated designs.
- Support drawing control and documentation processes including review of vendor submittals, drafting support for engineered systems, and design changes for manufacturability.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on design efficiency, cost reduction, and system performance.
- Associate’s degree (AA) in Computer‑Aided Drafting and Design or a related technical field.
- 4+ years of progressive CAD drafting/design experience focused on process systems.
- 2+ years of Revit 3D modeling/design experience in industrial or advanced facility settings.
- Experience working in manufacturing plants or construction environments.
- Familiarity with semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or advanced technology facilities.
- Hands‑on experience with field verifications and cross‑trade coordination.
- Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards.
- Proficiency using Navisworks for clash detection and design review.
