As a Lead Power Engineer a typical day might include:
- Maintaining a detailed understanding of electric power systems and how to protect, monitor and control the power system.
- Conceiving and developing concepts for new product ideas and enhancements.
- Lead efforts in providing power engineering support for customers & field application engineers.
- Serving as project technical lead.
- Modeling, teaching and applying SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

This job might be for you if you have:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Typically 6+ years of experience in electric power systems, protection practices and philosophies.
- Excellent technical training, speaking and writing skills.
- Experience leading a portion of a project.
- Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
- Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
You may be a stronger fit for this position if you:
- Have working knowledge of SEL products.
- Experience in MATLAB® and/or Python programming.

Pay Range Data: $101,900 - $150,600 annually.
We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the salary range may differ if filled at a different level. Our salary ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
