Job Description
This role serves as our Owner's Representative for wastewater infrastructure capital projects, providing project management and project controls (PM/PC) for the design, construction, and commissioning of wastewater treatment systems supporting semiconductor manufacturing facilities in Boise, Idaho.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management:
- Oversee capital projects for wastewater treatment systems, industrial wastewater treatment plants (IWTP), metal waste treatment systems, and reclaim water systems
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality for multi-million-dollar wastewater infrastructure projects
- Serve as owner's representative with design consultants, contractors, and vendors
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders including facilities, operations, environmental, and manufacturing teams
- Ensure projects meet operational requirements and regulatory compliance standards
Project Controls:
- Develop and maintain project schedules, cost estimates, and forecasts
- Track project performance metrics and provide regular reporting to leadership
- Manage change orders and ensure proper cost control procedures
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
Safety & Environmental Compliance:
- Ensure all projects follow safety and environmental procedures
- Work with environmental teams to maintain compliance with state, city, and federal wastewater regulations
- Coordinate permitting activities and regulatory agency interactions
- Implement job hazard analysis (JHA/JSA) protocols
Technical Coordination:
- Provide design input and review for ultra-pure water (UPW), wastewater treatment, and reclaim systems
- Coordinate with engineering teams on system integration with fabrication operations
- Review vendor designs, specifications, and equipment configurations
- Oversee commissioning and startup activities
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- 7-10+ years of project management experience in industrial wastewater, water treatment, or utilities
- Experience with semiconductor manufacturing facilities or similar high-purity industrial processes preferred
Technical Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes and technologies
- Knowledge of industrial wastewater treatment systems, chemical treatment, and metal waste systems
- Familiarity with water reuse and reclaim systems
- Understanding of Clean Water Act, NPDES/IPDES permitting requirements
Project Management:
- PMP certification preferred
- Experience managing $5M+ capital projects from concept through commissioning
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Strong vendor and contractor management skills
