Position: Mechanical Engineer (HVAC & Plumbing)
Job status: Exempt‑salaried
Location: Boise, (Relocation assistance provided)

- $80,000–$115,000 base pay (DOE) with generous wage growth

THE ROLEIn this role, you will thrive with a variety of engineering project opportunities. The Mechanical Engineer applies mechanical engineering concepts to building systems.
Responsibilities include:
- Interpreting architectural design plans and researching appropriate HVAC and plumbing systems to fit the scope of the project.
- Designing the heating, cooling, and plumbing systems to integrate and support the architectural building plan.
- Applying mechanical engineering principles such as thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, materials science, and structural analysis principles within design work.
- Understanding different engineering disciplines within the project and how the mechanical engineering piece will impact other design elements.
- Leveraging engineering design software to draft plans, drawings, and models.
- Incorporating the appropriate equipment to support the building’s HVAC and plumbing needs.
- Creatively finding ways to design engineering projects in challenging spaces.
- In partnership with the operations manager, developing new client business and winning new project work at times.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET‑accredited engineering program
- Minimum of 4+ years of mechanical engineering experience with HVAC & plumbing design in a range of building applications
- Engineer‑In‑Training (EIT) professional licensure required
- Professional Engineering (PE) licensure preferred or willingness to obtain soon after hire
- Proficiency with RevIT engineering design software
- Project management experience leading tasks or projects
In‑depth knowledge of HVAC systems - Familiarity with basic plumbing and electrical systems
- Strong communication, both verbal and written
- A valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record required for periodic travel
