Principal Digital Design Engineer​/Chip Lead

Role Overview

You will act as the Digital Design Engineer and Chip Lead for advanced PHY prototypes. You will own the digital architecture and integration of a full chip, guiding it from early definition through tape‑out. Your leadership will anchor a cross‑discipline team and directly shape how new interface concepts are proven and scaled.

• Define chip‑level digital architecture and integrate hard macros with soft IP
• Own RTL design for control logic, registers, clocking control, and top‑level integration
• Have 10+ years of digital or ASIC design experience, with prior chip or design lead ownership
• Possess expert proficiency in System Verilog RTL and digital design best practices
• Experience with synthesis and timing using industry tools such as DC, Genus, Prime Time, or Tempus
• Demonstrate proven ability to lead integration across teams and own outcomes end to end

• Experience with high‑speed PHY or Ser Des‑adjacent architectures
• Familiarity with DFT planning, scan insertion, or boundary scan for I/O‑heavy designs
• Experience integrating mixed‑signal hard IP and third‑party soft IP
• Background in small, fast‑moving teams with broad technical ownership
