Life Safety Engineer – Boise,
We’re seeking a Life Safety Engineer to support the design and coordination of fire alarm and life safety systems for complex engineering projects in Boise, on‑site role offers the opportunity to work with multidisciplinary teams on high‑impact industrial projects.
Pay: $44.28- $67.31 per hour
Responsibilities- Design fire alarm, detection, suppression, smoke control, and gas detection systems
- Prepare calculations, layouts, specifications, and construction documents
- Develop BIM models using AutoCAD and Revit MEP
- Ensure compliance with NFPA, NEC, IBC, IFC, and Life Safety Codes
- Review vendor submittals and coordinate with clients, contractors, and code officials
- Support construction, commissioning, and startup activities
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ABET accredited)
- 5+ years of fire alarm/life safety engineering experience
- EIT or NICET certification preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 72, NFPA 101, and NEC
- Experience with VESDA or aspirating detection systems preferred
- PE license
- Edwards EST3/EST4 experience
- Semiconductor or industrial facility experience
- Knowledge of gas detection, smoke modeling, or low‑voltage systems
- On‑site role in Boise,
- Some travel required
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship)
