Senior Engineer, Chemical & Slurry

• Provide high quality engineering services and specifications for the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of chemical and slurry supply systems.
• Review and align standards and specifications provided by consultants to sub-contractors.
• Participate in capacity and scenario planning for US Facilities and evaluate the impact of changes.
• Use standard tools and methodologies for problem analysis to provide technical information to the Procurement group on vendor qualifications, vendor selection, and negotiations.
• Conduct benchmarks within and external to Micron sites on engineering and design best‑practice knowledge for Facilities buildings and systems.
• Review capacity planning databases (including Base Build capacities, POC assignments, and actual field conditions) across the network to validate utilization and diversity factor assumptions.
• Review BIM models to ensure clash‑free execution and maintain point of connections closer to Fab Tools.
• Review pipe‑flow models to ensure required flow of chemical and slurry.
• Develop or review sequences of operations to ensure proper system operation.
• Review and ensure material and equipment compatibility.
• Audit vendor facilities to evaluate technical capabilities.
• Review RFPs issued by the General contractor, evaluate received proposals, and answer tender clarification questions.
• Collaboratively execute technical bid evaluations.
• Travel up to 10% internationally and 20% domestically.

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a related engineering or chemistry occupation.
• Experience in semiconductor Fab areas including chemical, slurry, and gas systems.
• Expertise in providing consultation and support to Operations & Maintenance and Manufacturing as a technical discipline subject matter expert.
• Ability to analyze system designs to identify performance improvements, efficiency gains, reduced maintenance, and cost savings.
• Experience conducting risk and failure‑mode‑and‑effects analysis.
• Skilled in ensuring scope meets requestor needs and that change‑management procedures are followed.
• Experience with large project greenfield or brownfield design and construction.
