Manufacturing Engineer

Overview

It’s fun to work in a company that believes in its products. The Manufacturing Engineer will bring new product designs to realization, ensuring customer requirements and specifications are met from prototype through sustaining production.

• Manage and schedule new product launch activities.
• Perform DFx analysis, manufacturing process development, and develop assembly documents for new products.
• Lead sustaining engineering activities, including engineering changes and configuration management across the product lifecycle.
• Interface with subject‑matter experts in test engineering and process engineering to develop specific test/equipment capabilities.
• Create, control, and distribute engineering change orders while maintaining revision control.
• Analyze customer documentation such as assembly drawings, CAD, Gerbers, and BOMs to ensure accurate internal documentation.
• Review PCB board designs from customers, optimize layout, and discuss technical details with suppliers.
• Support production teams and conduct root‑cause analysis of manufacturing non‑conformances.
• Respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or business community members.
• Effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or customers.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience in an electronics‑related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of electronics manufacturing background.
• Detailed knowledge of electronic components and PCBs.
• Experience with Aegis Factory Logix software is an asset.
• DFM, PFMEA, and Lean/Six Sigma fundamentals required.
• Experience with PLM/ERP, CAM
  350, and New Product Introduction is highly desired.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workload.

• Knowledge of industry‑accepted manufacturing, quality, and technical standards (IPC, JIT, Lean, etc.).
• ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 experience preferred; AS9100 or medical device manufacturing experience is an asset.
• Ability to interpret engineering tolerances and extensive technical documents (schematics, prints).
• Strong analytical skills; ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in sorting, filtering, and analyzing data in Excel.
• Organized, self‑motivated, and capable of multi‑tasking.
• Comfortable presenting to and meeting customers in person.
• Strong learning mindset.
