Senior​/Wet Process Development Engineer

As a Senior/Staff Wet Process Development Engineer at Micron, you will join a dynamic and fast‑paced DRAM Technology Development team and will engage directly with Process Integration and other process areas including Dry Etch, Metals, CVD, Diffusion, Lithography, and CMP.

You will focus on inventive and exceptional wet etch tooling and take responsibility for the equipment and/or process roadmap to achieve program and yield objectives.

• Technically innovate:
  Drive strategic technical and tactical decisions at a project and platform level by contributing to feasibility studies; proactively engage with technical challenges before they become problems.
• Key processes:
  Selective wet etching, vapor/plasma etching, surface prep, and high‑aspect‑ratio processing.
• Technical focus:
  Connect technologies and business plans across groups, actively develop Micron intellectual property, and stay aware of external technical advancements.
• Impact results:
  Lead Micron IP into successful technical readiness and transition to program integration.
• Influence:
  Regularly interact with senior management to provide consultation and influence technical and strategic decisions; craft alliances with customers.
• Skill and experience:
  Guide product planning/roadmap, platform features, and functional area strategy with an emphasis on scientific fundamentals.

• Proven experience in physics, chemistry, chemical engineering, material science, or an equivalent field.
• Suitable experience: research during a PhD plus over 2years of relevant industry experience; or a Master’s degree with more than 4years of relevant experience; or a Bachelor’s degree combined with at least 7years in the relevant industry.
• Demonstrated frequent contributions to the development of new theories, concepts, and methods in your field of expertise.
• Ability to resolve complex issues through root‑cause or model‑based problem solving.
• Outstanding communication proficiency.
• Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision, focusing on meeting deadlines with project oversight skills and exchanging detailed information with peers and leadership.

• Experience with AI tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot) to drive efficiency, with a focus on coding, automation, and/or data science.
• Leading at least one or two cross‑group projects.
• Academic or basic knowledge of transport phenomena, computational fluid dynamics, or molecular dynamics simulations.
• Fundamental understanding of chemical reactions at the atomic level.
