Position Overview

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence. In this role you will create innovative data solutions using Industrial Engineering (IE) knowledge to continually improve strategic forecasting and support the Technology & Products Group (TPG) budget planning.

Responsibilities
  • Create innovative data solutions using Industrial Engineering (IE) knowledge to continually improve the strategic forecast.
  • Evaluate what‑if scenarios representing changes to metrics and partner with engineering to understand the impact of the changes.
  • Use experience and observations to design experiments to root‑cause issues and suggest planning changes.
  • Analyze and interpret internal and external data sources to recommend planning adjustments.
  • Partner closely with stakeholders (TPG Operations, budget teams, Process and Equipment Development, Finance and Procurement teams) to build enhanced budget analytics.
  • Provide regular status updates to TPG Leadership and present budgets, P2P, and outputs.
  • Recommend innovative ways to improve data analytics and front‑end summaries to aid decision making.
  • Design and coordinate projects across multiple departments, create timelines with milestones, minimize duplication, and adjust plans based on execution.
  • May telecommute part‑time.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Analytics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field plus 5 years of progressive, post‑baccalaureate experience in the position offered or a related occupation.
  • Knowledge of database management methods and techniques.
  • Experience with data‑related tools or data science, including SQL and Python.
  • Proficiency with visualization tools, including Tableau.
  • Understanding of data collection, warehousing systems, and data cleansing.
  • Process improvement and project management skills to collaborate and share data with engineering and executives.
