Responsibilities
- Lead equipment hardware projects with suppliers to meet future process requirements and timelines.
- Understand the root causes of excursions and implement solutions, including defect excursions, poor coating uniformity, or other track-related issues.
- Drive track installation projects, engaging with suppliers, the company’s facilities team, and engineering to define track configurations and manage the installation process.
- Build and optimize new track recipes for new memory parts to meet manufacturing performance, defect, and cost requirements.
- Collaborate with cross‑department teams to establish equipment specifications and design requirements for photolithography processes.
- Develop and maintain advanced photolithography equipment for flawless process integration.
- Conduct equipment performance evaluations, identify improvement areas, and install, test, and qualify new equipment to meet strict quality standards.
- Address and resolve equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and work closely with vendors to implement equipment modifications and upgrades.
- Train and mentor junior engineers on equipment operation and maintenance.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to departmental goals.
- Oversee installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, maintaining records of manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues.
- Study equipment performance and reliability, establish uptime programs, and address equipment problems affecting the manufacturing process.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering teams, define and write preventative maintenance schedules.
- Work with electronics, pneumatics, photoresist dispense systems, developer systems, bake ovens, chill plates, temperature/humidity controllers, robots, optics, etc. to diagnose and resolve equipment-related problems.
- Coordinate and execute process, equipment, and material evaluation/optimization initiatives, implementing changes at process steps.
- Participate in continuous yield improvement and cost reduction activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 48 months of experience in the relevant engineering or related occupation.
- Photolithography track equipment development and maintenance, including process and equipment control systems.
- Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving assembly process issues using failure analysis, FMEA, 8D, or SPC/FDC methodologies.
- Interpreting schematic diagrams and troubleshooting mechanical systems on photolithography tracks.
- Utilizing Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) Photo Track hardware in photolithography process and equipment development.
- Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM) track process optimization and troubleshooting, and process integration flow.
- UHV process control and recipe optimization, including developing and optimizing track recipes for memory products to meet performance and cost targets.
- Evaluating and qualifying new photo film materials for next-generation lithography processes, supporting continuous improvement and technology scaling.
- Designing robust process recipes and equipment configurations that meet performance, cost, and manufacturability targets.
