Hardware Engineer 2
Position SummaryMicron Technology is seeking a Hardware Engineer 2 to develop, improve, and qualify new and existing equipment, software, and processes.
Responsibilities- Develop, improve, and qualify new and existing equipment, software, and processes.
- Collaborate with functional groups locally and globally to design, develop, and qualify equipment, processes, and software, establishing roadmaps and strategies that enable business objectives.
- Perform continuous gap analysis between existing test capabilities and product roadmaps to identify development opportunities.
- Research industry capabilities and trends, regularly conducting equipment benchmarking.
- Establish and maintain key technical roadmaps in conjunction with other engineering groups.
- Lead worldwide projects from definition through first‑of‑kind deployment into production.
- Coordinate with key partners (BU, PE, Site, Finance) to establish project business value using approved methodology and techniques.
- Provide automated test equipment and process development for new technology, manufacturing applications, and improvements for deployment to all Micron test locations worldwide.
- Conduct controlled evaluations and design experiments to understand product, process, material, and equipment limitations.
- Identify and resolve origins of deviation, isolate causes, and provide solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in mechanical design.
- Experience in mechanical finite element analysis (FEA) simulation.
- Experience with design of experiments (DOE).
- Experience in interference and risk analysis of technical designs.
- Technical documentation and presentation skills.
- Project management experience.
- Data extraction and analysis skills.
- International travel required up to 25% of the time.
International travel up to 25% of the time. Relocation level: TBD.
