Senior Applied AI Engineer; Semiconductor Manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy AI/ML solutions to support semiconductor product development, validation, yield optimization, and manufacturing efficiency.
• Design, code, and maintain software programs, algorithms, and automated pipelines to cleanse, integrate, and analyze large, unstructured datasets from multiple disparate sources.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with subject matter experts across engineering, product, and service teams to understand domain challenges and translate them into data science solutions.
• Identify and communicate actionable insights from large data and metadata sources to product, service, and business stakeholders through clear analysis, visualization, and presentation.
• Drive exploratory research and innovation, staying current on the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and data science and applying them to solve complex semiconductor problems.
• Support and improve existing tools and workflows by identifying opportunities for automation, optimization, and enhanced analytics.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Physics, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience; OR a Master's degree with 2+ years of experience; OR a PhD with relevant academic or industry experience in data science and/or the semiconductor industry.
• Demonstrated track record of building and launching end‑to‑end data science solutions, including data engineering, machine learning algorithm development, UI/UX integration, and ML Ops.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis, modeling, and automation.
• Strong communication skills – excellent written and verbal English‑language communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to convey technical findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

• Semiconductor industry experience is strongly preferred; experience in the memory sector is highly desirable.
• Expertise with Large Language Models (LLMs), including fine‑tuning, prompt engineering, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), and evaluation of model performance.
• Familiarity with agentic AI systems – designing, deploying, or integrating autonomous agents capable of reasoning, planning, and executing tasks across complex workflows.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset, a passion for teaching others about data science, and a continuous drive to learn and adopt new techniques and technologies.
