Calibration Technician - Field; Cal-Cert

Overview

We are seeking a Calibration Technician to join our Lab Team at CAL-CERT, an Accredited Labs Company. This role is a Calibration Technician – Field Service, based out of our Boise, Idaho office with company-paid travel to customer locations across Idaho and throughout the US as needed.

• Complete accurate and timely calibrations both in our shop and at customer sites in the field.
• Perform all duties in accordance with ISO 17025.
• Perform routine and complex calibration on a wide variety of equipment per company processes and instruction documentation.
• Perform calibration on a variety of devices and instruments in accordance with established procedures and standards.
• Work directly with clients throughout the calibration process from first onsite touch point to completion of project, including good communication to provide client updates on services needed.
• Ensure all calibration activities comply with industry regulations and quality standards.
• Maintain calibration records and documentation, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
• Interact professionally with customers, providing excellent service and support.
• Communicate with customers throughout the process and provide status updates.
• Travel to customer locations across Idaho and throughout the US as needed.

• Have the ability to learn mechanical and technical skills quickly.
• Can adapt to working with different equipment across varied customer environments.
• Are customer oriented with excellent communication skills.
• Are punctual, respectful, and honest with a positive attitude.
• Have excellent attention to detail.
• Have a strong work ethic.

• 1+ years of experience with Electrical, Physical, and/or Mechanical Calibration of equipment.
• Able to lift 50 lbs, climb, kneel, drive, and stand for long periods of time.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for field service travel.
• Demonstrated ability to learn mechanical and technical skills quickly.
• Experience working in a technical or mechanical position.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good organizational and prioritization skills.

• Knowledge of principles, procedures, methods and techniques in metrology gained through education or professional experience.
• Experience working with Manufacturer's Quality Systems.
• Associate's Degree in Engineering, Electronics, or other Technical Fields.
• Technical Degree or Certificate.
• Military PMEL Training.
• Metrology experience.
• Experience with Indy Soft.
