Mechanical Engineer, Process Engineer

About the OpportunityWe are seeking a Facilities Mechanical Engineer to support the design and installation of complex manufacturing equipment and facility infrastructure within a cutting-edge industrial environment. This role offers the opportunity to work on highly technical projects that support advanced research, development, testing, and manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, equipment owners, contractors, and stakeholders to develop facility solutions that support next-generation manufacturing technologies.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop construction documents for manufacturing tool installations, facility upgrades, and tenant improvement projects.
Create layouts and designs for:
HVAC systems
Hydronic systems
Process piping
Exhaust systems
Plumbing systems
Fire suppression systems
Process chemical and gas distribution systems
Perform engineering calculations, equipment sizing, component selection, and system specifications.
Evaluate and modify existing facility systems to support new manufacturing equipment installations.
Develop utility requirement documentation for advanced manufacturing tools and equipment.
Coordinate with equipment manufacturers, facility owners, contractors, and internal engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Support construction activities through RFIs, submittal reviews, field coordination, and installation oversight.
Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews and project meetings.
Provide technical support during equipment integration and startup activities.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical facilities engineering.
Experience with:
HVAC systems
Hydronic systems
Process piping
Exhaust systems
Plumbing systems
Mechanical facility infrastructure
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
Actively pursuing Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
Experience supporting semiconductor manufacturing facilities or cleanroom environments.
Exposure to semiconductor manufacturing tools through design, installation, manufacturing, or operational support.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Navisworks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Field experience supporting industrial facility projects.
Passion for facility design, construction, and infrastructure development.
Fully on-site position located in Boise, Idaho.
Standard work schedule is Monday-Friday during normal business hours (approximately 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
Some schedule flexibility may be available based on project needs.
