Idaho Survey Group is seeking a full-time, onsite Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) to join our Boise, Idaho office. This position will work under the direction of a senior PLS and contribute to a variety of survey projects, including land development, boundary surveys, and construction surveying. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with strong technical, communication, and organizational skills who enjoys both office and fieldwork.

The position may require overtime and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.

• Communicate with clients and project teams to understand project goals, challenges, schedules, budgets, and expectations.

• Conduct research to obtain public and private land records, survey control data, and other pertinent information for boundary, topographic, design surveys, right-of-way locations, and utility mapping.

• Request and compile information from title companies, municipalities, and agencies; incorporate findings into CAD drawings and project documentation.

• Prepare construction, subdivision, ALTA, boundary, and topographic surveys, as well as legal descriptions and surveying exhibits tailored to client needs.

• Assemble field packets, review and process field notes, and coordinate with field crews and project managers to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

• Manage CAD-generated surface models and produce contours, cross sections, and profile drawings for engineering design.

• Perform field surveying as needed in support of project requirements.

• Licensure: Idaho Professional Land Surveyor license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required; experience with GPS/RTK systems and robotic total stations preferred.

  Minimum of 1 year experience in boundary analysis, drafting, and construction staking calculations preferred.
• Equipment Operation: Experience operating survey equipment including robotic total stations, GPS systems, data collectors, and automatic levels.
• Communication & Organization: Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work outdoors in various conditions.
• Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license in good standing and ability to operate company vehicles.
