This role is responsible for establishing and enforcing quality processes for semiconductor fab construction, including cleanroom work, high‑purity systems, process piping, chemical/gas systems, DI/UPW, HVAC/MEP interfaces, inspection readiness, traceability, turnover documentation, and non‑conformance management.

General Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management Plan (QMP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality control procedures, inspection records, turnover requirements, and quality logs.
  • Lead QAQC oversight for wet mechanical/process utility work, including high‑purity piping, chemical/gas systems, DI/UPW, PCW/CDA interfaces, exhaust/abatement, HVAC/MEP interfaces, and tool hook‑up support.
  • Review drawings, specifications, submittals, material approvals, certifications, traceability records, and client quality requirements.
  • Conduct or witness inspections and tests, including material receipt inspection, fit‑up, welding/orbital welding, passivation, pressure/leak testing, cleanliness checks, and final system inspections.
  • Manage NCRs, punch lists, CAPA, rework verification, quality meetings, audit findings, and issue escalation to project leadership.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, third‑party testing agencies, vendors, commissioning teams, and client representatives to ensure quality compliance and documentation completeness.
  • Support safety and cleanroom/contamination‑control requirements during inspections and field quality activities.
  • Compile turnover packages, quality dossiers, inspection records, and handover documentation for commissioning/start‑up.
Qualification
  • 5+ years of construction QAQC experience required, with direct semiconductor, cleanroom, high‑tech, or process utility construction experience required.
  • Wet mechanical/process piping/process utility QAQC experience required.
  • Engineering degree, trade background, journeyman‑level credential, or equivalent field QAQC technical experience required.
  • Applicable QAQC certifications or credentials normally expected for senior QAQC work are required or strongly expected based on discipline and years of experience, such as AWS CWI, ASNT/NDT, ICC, USACE CQM, OSHA 30, or equivalent semiconductor/process utility quality credentials.
  • Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3, SEMI standards, NFPA/IBC requirements, cleanroom standards, pressure/leak testing, high‑purity piping, welding/orbital welding, traceability, and turnover documentation.
  • Experience using Procore, Bluebeam, BIM 360, SharePoint, Smartsheet, MS Office, or similar quality/document‑control systems.
  • Bilingual ability and OSHA 30 preferred if not already included in the candidate's existing credentials.
Skills
  • Strong quality leadership, documentation control, inspection planning, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Ability to identify defects, non‑conformance trends, contamination risks, and documentation gaps early.
  • Ability to read drawings, P&IDs, specifications, submittals, test packages, and turnover documentation.
  • Strong communication with field teams, client representatives, engineering, vendors, and project leadership.
  • Ability to work onsite, wear PPE, perform field walks, and support fast‑paced construction activities.
