Provide high quality engineering services and specifications for the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of chemical and slurry supply systems. Review and align standards and specifications provided by consultants to sub‑contractors. Participate in capacity and scenario planning for US Facilities and evaluate impact of changes. With problem analysis by using standard tools and methodologies, provide technical information to Procurement group on vendor qualifications, vendor selection and negotiations as needed.
Conduct benchmark within and external to Micron sites on engineering and design BKMs of Facilities buildings and systems. Review the capacity planning databases (with Base Build capacities, POC assignments, and actual field conditions) across the network and validating utilization and diversity factor assumptions. Review BIM models to ensure clash‑free execution and to maintain point of connections closer to Fab Tools.
Review pipe flow models to ensure required flow of chemical and slurry. Develop or review sequence of operations to ensure proper system operation. Review and ensure material and equipment compatibility. Audit vendor facilities to evaluate technical capabilities of vendors. Review RFPs sent out by General contractor. Review the received proposals and answer tender clarification questions. Collaboratively execute Technical Bid Evaluations.
Position requires 10% international travel and 20% domestic travel.
Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field and 4 years of experience in the offered job or in an engineering or chemistry‑related occupation.
Position Requires- Semiconductor Fab areas including Chemical, Slurry, and Gas system.
- Providing consultation and support to Operations and Maintenance and Manufacturing as Technical Discipline Subject Matter Expert.
- Analyzing system designs to identify improvements that will result in better performance, efficiency gains, reduced maintenance, and cost savings.
- Conducting risk and failure mode and effects analysis.
- Ensuring scope meets requestor needs.
- Ensuring change management procedures are followed.
- Large Project greenfield/brownfield design/construction.
