The US Construction Engineering team designs and builds some of Micron’s most advanced manufacturing facilities in the country. We support large‑scale, high‑tech projects that directly enable Micron’s future, including new high‑volume fabs in Boise, Idaho and Clay, New York. This role plays a key part in delivering safe, compliant, and reliable chemical systems for semiconductor manufacturing. As a Chemical Systems Engineer, you’ll guide third‑party design partners, collaborate across fields, and ensure sophisticated chemical delivery systems are delivered to the highest standards. Responsibilities- Manage third‑party design firms developing chemical delivery, storage, and waste management systems
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to align designs with facility needs and schedules
- Ensure chemical systems align with codes, industry standards, and Micron safety requirements
- Review and approve engineering work including P&IDs, specifications, calculations, and 3D models
- Support commissioning, testing, and vendor engagement to validate system performance
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in chemical systems engineering
- Experience reviewing engineering designs and technical work
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and/or Navisworks
- Familiarity with construction management tools such as Autodesk Construction Cloud or Procore
- Experience supporting semiconductor manufacturing or high‑purity, high‑hazard facilities
- Strong project management and interpersonal skills
- Experience coordinating with external design firms and equipment vendors
- EIT or PE certification
