Overview

Under the direction of the Lead Engineer Mechanical, this role focuses on designing and improving high‑purity gas and ultrapure chemical systems. Responsibilities include detailed engineering, specification and analysis to support design and construction, creation of P&, and participation in process safety reviews such as PSM, HAZOP, and FMEA.

Responsibilities
  • All employees are expected to participate in the safety and health program, reporting hazards and unsafe practices, and supporting safety committee activities.
  • Design and develop new products and processes for high‑purity gas and chemical systems.
  • Perform process simulation and studies including sizing and specification of process equipment.
  • Analyze flow and function requirements and engineer solutions to meet them.
  • Drive product development for new market applications where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to improve product offerings.
  • Create and support product P&IDs to ensure safe and maintainable systems.
  • Participate in technology review groups to implement new and emerging technologies.
  • Lead or participate in Process Safety reviews including PSM, HAZOP, and FMEA.
  • Evaluate components for chemical compatibility.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable codes, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
  • Stay abreast of semiconductor industry trends and technologies.
  • Recommend alternative processes and equipment to improve throughput, quality, and safety.
  • Assist with proposal and quote development for the sales and quoting team.
  • Adhere to project budgets and schedules.
  • Review engineering deliverables and initiate corrective actions.
  • Improve product quality and manufacturability and support quality measurement system improvements.
  • Assist the engineering department in training manufacturing staff on new products and processes.
  • Manage design projects and coordinate among internal and external design resources.
  • Provide production support for released designs.
  • Support construction of manufacturing equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Limited travel to customer locations as needed.
Requirements
  • BSME in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience with Pipe Flo or similar process parameter software for sizing, pressures, and flow.
  • Experience with Solid Works and AutoCAD.
