We are part of Micron’s Technology Development organization, a collaborative R&D environment where curiosity and experimentation drive the next generation of semiconductor devices. Our team works at the intersection of semiconductor fundamentals and materials science to transform innovative concepts into manufacturable reality.
Position Overview:
As a Pathfinding Device Integration Engineer, you will own the definition and advancement of next‑generation memory technologies. Your work will have a direct impact on future device scaling by bridging the gap between novel material systems and actionable process flows.
- Identify and evaluate novel device concepts to enable future performance and reliability improvements.
- Apply deep semiconductor device physics knowledge to guide technology development and design trade‑offs.
- Own the integration of device concepts and materials into cohesive, manufacturable technology solutions.
- Develop and execute experiments in the R&D fab to validate new architectures.
- Analyze complex datasets across simulation and silicon results to optimize failure mechanisms and variability.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with modeling, characterization, and compose teams to align technical roadmaps.
- Communicate technical findings and trade‑offs clearly to diverse internal audiences.
- PhD or MS in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Physics, or a related field.
- Strong foundation in semiconductor device physics and process integration.
- Demonstrated record of innovation through patents, publications, or product‑relevant solutions.
- Proven analytical and quantitative problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with sophisticated semiconductor nodes or non‑conventional device architectures.
- Working knowledge of semiconductor build, architecture, and TCAD modeling.
- Direct experience with materials characterization and statistical analysis.
- Background in technology pathfinding or R&D fab environments.
