Position SummaryHatch is seeking a Site Project Controls Manager to join the team in Valley County, Project Controls Manager is responsible for the overall delivery of Project Controls, including Estimating, Cost Management, Planning and Scheduling, EPCM Control, Project Accounting, Trend and Change Management, Progress Measurement and Evaluation, and Project Reporting.
ResponsibilitiesManage the Project Control resources allocated to the project by leading and directing sub‑ordinates so that they are motivated and have access to the required resources to meet work objectives. Mentor the Project Controls team to ensure staff understand expectations and possess the necessary skills. Identify training and development needs for staff and ensure skill development takes place.
Qualifications- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a project environment with detailed knowledge of Estimating, Cost Control, Planning, and Quantity Surveying
- Experience in high‑valued, multi‑discipline EPCM environment projects from inception to close‑out
- Knowledge in the following disciplines:
- Estimating – Understanding of fundamentals of estimating and ability to review Project and Change Notice estimates for accuracy.
- Cost Control – Ability to understand composite Project budgets, forecast final costs, manage budget commitment and actuals, and control Project Trends and Changes. Manage usage of allowances (contingency, escalation, forex) and monitor cash‑flow.
- Planning & Scheduling – Ability to read and understand Project Schedules, verify impact of Project Changes on schedule, and ensure accurate reflection of Project progress.
- Quantity Surveying – Knowledge of Quantity Surveying principles and Standard Systems of Measurement. Ability to verify progress payments, final invoices, escalation, and forex calculations.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Management or related professional certification
- Experience establishing reporting standards, formats, and frequencies
- Experience consolidating, collating, and presenting project, financial, and other reports
- Knowledge of EPCM principles and ability to interpret and verify incentive agreements
- General Construction knowledge with understanding of engineering models and construction drawings
- Strong personal computer skills (MS Office package)
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver results
- Interpersonal skills, including interaction with people, staff, and stakeholders at different levels of seniority
- Broad business acumen, including risk assessment and management
