As a Field Service Engineer [Customer Engineer] at Applied Materials, you serve as the direct liaison with customers, collaborating closely to install, maintain, and upgrade equipment. You'll use digital analytics for troubleshooting and apply basic diagnostic techniques to assess and address technical issues. Your responsibilities include performing preventative and corrective maintenance on various systems such as electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.

Additionally, you'll coordinate and communicate directly with customers to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service.

** What You'll Do*
* + Install, configure, and support Applied Materials equipment at customer sites.

+ Learn to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and system-related issues with support from experienced engineers.

+ Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

+ Work alongside senior engineers during equipment installations, upgrades, and customer projects.

+ Build strong relationships with customers by providing professional technical support and service.

+ Document service activities and communicate project updates to customers and internal teams.

+ Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures.

+ Continuously develop your technical knowledge through hands-on experience, training programs, and mentorship.

* Minimum Qualifications:

* + Completion of an Associate degree or Bachelors Degree

+ Experience using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, or digital multimeters

+ Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.

+ Ability to read and follow technical documentation and procedures.

+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

+ Effective written and verbal communication skills.

+ Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

+ Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a passport for business travel.

+ Ability to meet customer site safety and environmental requirements.

* + Internship, co-op, research, or project experience involving mechanical, electrical, vacuum, pneumatic, hydraulic, or manufacturing systems.
